  Westlake Urban Gateway is a proposal for a mixed use development located above the Westlake/MacArthur Park Metro stop. The project is located across the street from MacArthur Park, in Los Angeles, CA. The Parti was that of the void. This void served as the organizing method for the retail ground floor.  

Initial schematic design of three small apartments. Based around creating private and semi-private zones, the kitchen and dining areas face the interior court so that they connect to the other residences. The bedrooms are located on the outside of the units for privacy. The 250 sq.ft. unit is intended as a SRO(singe room occupancy) apartment. [...]
