Project:  Elementary Charter school for 300 students.

Location:  Hoover and Adams, Los Angeles CA.

Description:  The linear form is derived from the intersection of two local street grids and the typical California school wing design. The wings are split and rotated, drawing one into the site where school and community social functions will be held. Intended to convey strength but not be overpowering, the reduced scale allows the school to integrate into the surroundings while simultaneously reaching out to the street to draw the neighborhood in.
